I’ve decided to create my own notes vault for my work. I still have some doubts about the Zettelkasten / digital garden concept because, from what I’ve seen, many people get distracted and end up focusing on decorating their notes archive instead of actually understanding the knowledge (more like flower arranging than gardening, if that makes sense).
When it comes to taking notes on heavy technical topics, I usually prefer handwriting over typing (aside from coding, obviously), but we’ll see how useful this turns out to be.
I’m currently using Quartz 4 with Obsidian as my editor, hosted on GitHub and deployed through Cloudflare. I might set up Zero Trust to secure this “garden” in the future, but that would defeat the purpose of being able to quickly browse my notes across multiple devices though…
